Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and enjoy spending time outdoors, preferring not to be confined to a 9‑5 office role? Our client is looking for Meter Readers across Huntly, Keith and Buckie. This is a fantastic role for someone self‑motivated to work independently and will also offer you the opportunity to acquire a company car.
The ideal candidate will ensure customers receive accurate and up‑to‑date bills by collecting data from gas, electric and water meters, using a hand‑held electronic device, and other equipment. There is a great deal of flexibility within this role, such as planning your route and managing your schedule and workload to achieve the targets set for the week by your field delivery manager. Occasionally you may need to walk longer distances as not all customers live in built‑up areas, but you’ll get great exercise!
Working Hours
Full‑time flexible basis between hours of 8 am – 8 pm, Monday–Sunday, working 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- Approachable, presentable, polite and acts as an ambassador for the company.
- Physically fit due to the nature of the role.
- Required to plan and manage workload independently, working towards targets.
- Report any dangerous meter installations or suspected signs of tampering.
- Self‑motivated, energetic and enjoy working outdoors.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work to timescales and under pressure.
- Flexible approach to tasks and working.
- Friendly personality with a professional approach to work.
- Pass screening and vetting standards and pass a DBS check.
- Full training is provided so experience is not necessary.
