Our client is looking for Meter Readers across Bristol and Gloucester. This is a fantastic role for someone self‑motivated to work independently. You will also have the opportunity to acquire a company car. In this role you will ensure customers receive accurate and up-to-date bills by collecting data from gas, electric and water meters using a hand‑held electronic device. The role offers flexibility, allowing you to plan your route, manage your schedule and workload to achieve the weekly targets set by your field delivery manager. You may occasionally need to walk longer distances as not all customers live in built‑up areas, providing great exercise.

Working Hours

Full‑time flexible basis between 8 am-8 pm, Monday‑Sunday, working 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Approachable, presentable, and polite, acting as an ambassador for the company.
  • Physically fit due to the nature of the role.
  • Requires planning and managing workload independently, working towards targets.
  • Reports any dangerous meter installations or suspected signs of tampering.
  • Self‑motivated, energetic, and enjoys working outdoors.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work to timescales and under pressure.
  • Flexible approach to tasks and working.
  • Friendly personality with a professional approach to work.
  • Pass screening and vetting standards and pass a DBS check.

Full training is provided so experience is not necessary.
