Due to exciting growth within the business, DDM are looking to add to their Digital and Tech teams, with roles available within Data Analysis, Web/App Development and Digital Marketing. This is an advert for their Software Developer Level 4 Apprenticeship position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing back-end and/or front-end code to support applications/website development.
  • Using JIRA to manage own tasks and the wider group’s tasks to output required software.
  • Maintaining project documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Working with the team to implement industry best practice code, ensure vulnerabilities are patched and ensure good QA.
  • Conducting penetration testing, functional testing, regression testing and further testing based on DDM’s internal testing policies.
  • Project managing own tasks using internal software, overseen by the CTO.
  • Participating in daily meetings to allocate tasks and benchmark progress with individual reporting available through internal software.
  • Listening to feedback meetings, requirements meetings and testing sessions to determine technical requirements.
  • Assessing non-functional requirement data sources and converting them into useful feedback.
  • Working with the team to collect logs, feedback, customer support etc., and determining any support/feedback/ticketing as required.

Entry Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 X GCSEs grade A-C including English and Maths.

  • Be detail conscious and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that the data and processes being implemented are correct.
  • Have high personal standards of work and want to be proud of what they deliver.

Skills Required:

  • A high level of interest in software development and general technology.
  • Some knowledge in coding/programming.
  • Any experience in WordPress Development, exposure to PHP, React, Vue or Angular is highly advantageous.

  • Software Developer Level 4.
