We are looking for an Electrical Quality Supervisor to join our successful Optimisation team. This role is homebased with some travel required.
The role is for Qualified Supervisor of the NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme, the Nominee and Nominated Technical Person of the NICEIC MCS Photovoltaic Scheme and the Nominee of the SEAI Scheme. The main responsibility of the role is to ensure the company maintains compliance with the relevant regulations throughout the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical and low carbon installations.
Applicants will be self-motivated, performance driven with a high attention to detail and have 5+ years’ experience in the industry with ideally 3+ years as a QS.
Main Responsibilities- Ensuring that the design and installation of systems are carried out in accordance with the relevant standards and regulations.
- Overviewing ITPs and test certificates to ensure that the installations have been installed and certified in accordance with the relevant standards and regulations.
- Providing technical input into the PM team in relation to the health and safety and safe systems of work during the survey, installation and maintenance of work.
- Maintaining the quality management systems to uphold the safety and quality of work delivered.
- Manage and carry out internal audits on the delivery of and installed work.
- Maintaining the highest level of safety, technical standards and quality of electrical installation work, ensuring an up-to-date knowledge of the relevant standards, BS7671, PV Code of Practice, EV Code of Practice, Building Regulations.
- Supervision and management of the installation of industrial and commercial systems including renewable and low carbon technologies; PV & Battery, ASHP, GSHP, CHP.
- Inspection and testing of industrial and commercial electrical systems including renewable and low carbon technologies; PV & Battery, ASHP, GSHP, CHP.
- Completion of certificates and notifications.
- Read, interpret and work from mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Complete annual compliance audits – NICEIC Approved Contractor, NICEIC MCS PV, & SEAI.
- Asset management of installed PV installations.
- Provide technical support/knowledge into the site support team in relation to queries or issues on installed systems and the delivery of the operation and maintenance contracts.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with clients and suppliers to assist in any technical communication in relation to the installation’s operation and compliance.
Essential:
- GCSEs and A-Levels
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671
- City and Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection (or equivalent)
- Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems
- 5+ years’ previous experience in the electrical contracting industry
- 3+ years’ previous experience in QS role
- High knowledge of H&S and Building Regulations
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with clients, site managers and managers.
- Ability to work from their own initiative and as part of a team
- Good organisational and self-management skills
- Ability to prioritise activities and to meet tight deadlines
- Highly motivated with a positive work ethic and able to demonstrate integrity
- Support and motivate other team members
- Excellent written and presentations skills
- A full clean UK driving license
