The Role
- Cleaning designated areas, ensuring they are kept tidy, hygienic, and welcoming.
- Carrying out housekeeping duties within residents’ homes with care and discretion.
- Maintaining communal areas so they are consistently neat, tidy, and well presented.
- Cleaning floors, including vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and polishing furniture and woodwork.
- Emptying and relining waste bins, following correct disposal procedures.
- Cleaning windows and glass surfaces within reach.
- Carrying out laundry duties efficiently and to a high standard.
- Adhering to COSHH regulations and maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Housekeeping Assistant, Housekeeper, or Cleaner.
- Self‑motivated, personable, and able to communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and visitors.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to respond to changing priorities and shift patterns.
- A basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards is desirable, though full training will be provided.
