The Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be:

  • Cleaning designated areas, ensuring they are kept tidy, hygienic, and welcoming
  • Carrying out housekeeping duties within residents’ homes with care and discretion
  • Maintaining communal areas so they are consistently neat, tidy, and well presented
  • Cleaning floors, including vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and polishing furniture and woodwork
  • Emptying and relining waste bins, following correct disposal procedures
  • Cleaning windows and glass surfaces within reach
  • Carrying out laundry duties efficiently and to a high standard
  • Adhering to COSHH regulations and maintaining a safe working environment at all times
Key Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Housekeeping Assistant, Housekeeper, or Cleaner
  • Self‑motivated, personable, and able to communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and visitors
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to respond to changing priorities and shift patterns
  • A basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards is desirable, though full training will be provided
