Kitchen Assistant

In partnership with Legal & General PLC and NatWest Pension Trustee Limited, with hugely ambitious (and very achievable) growth plans, we are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our expanding kitchen team.

You will assist the kitchen team in ensuring all food is correctly prepared and presented to customers to the correct standards and quality. Delivering excellent customer service will be second nature to you and you will pride yourself on creating and maintaining exceptional customer relationships.

The Role

• Supporting the kitchen team in a full food service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Assisting in the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes that are interesting, well prepared and presented to delight the customer
• Helping set up the restaurant for a full food service
• Assisting with the washing up, resetting of tables and refilling condiments
• Collecting food from the kitchen and serving, when required
• Helping maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and restaurant.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience of working as a Kitchen Assistant or Kitchen Porter in a busy kitchen
• Great understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Creativity and passionate for food design, preparation, nutrition, and presentation.
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative without ongoing direct supervision.
