The Role
- Cleaning designated areas to a high standard, ensuring all spaces are clean, tidy, and hygienic.
- Carrying out housekeeping duties within residents’ homes with care, discretion, and respect.
- Maintaining communal areas so they are consistently neat, welcoming, and well presented.
- Cleaning floors, including vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and polishing furniture and woodwork.
- Emptying waste bins, ensuring correct disposal procedures are followed and bins are relined appropriately.
- Cleaning windows and glass surfaces within safe reach.
- Completing laundry duties in line with village procedures.
- Adhering to Health & Safety and COSHH regulations at all times.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a housekeeping, cleaning, or domestic role, ideally within a customer-focused environment.
- Self-motivated with a positive, personable approach and strong communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and shift patterns.
- A basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards would be advantageous, though full training will be provided.
