We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Network Manager to lead and evolve our technology platforms across our growing village portfolio. As Infrastructure & Network Manager, you’ll act as the organisation’s technical authority for all infrastructure and network services, ensuring our multi-site environment remains secure, resilient, and scalable for future growth. You’ll lead the design and delivery of modern infrastructure solutions, drive cloud adoption, and oversee operational excellence, ensuring reliable connectivity, strong cybersecurity, and seamless digital services that support resident experience, business performance, and continuity across our villages.

The Role

  • Infrastructure & Network Strategy
    • Developing and maintaining a multi-year infrastructure roadmap aligned to business growth and digital strategy
    • Ensuring infrastructure scalability to support new villages, services, and operational expansion
    • Leading modernisation initiatives, including cloud adoption, SD-WAN, automation, and network resilience
  • Infrastructure Architecture & Design
    • Designing secure, resilient, and standardised network and server architectures across a multi-site estate
    • Implementing and maintaining infrastructure standards to ensure consistency and operational efficiency
    • Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending solutions that enhance performance, reliability, and security
  • Network Management
    • Overseeing LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, SD-WAN, and leased line connectivity across all villages
    • Establishing proactive monitoring, alerting, and performance management
    • Optimising bandwidth and connectivity to support resident services and core business systems
  • Operational Excellence
    • Maintaining comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, standards, and processes
    • Implementing ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management practices
    • Ensuring high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness for critical systems
  • Cloud & Virtualisation
    • Managing hybrid cloud environments, including on-premises infrastructure and Azure services
    • Overseeing virtualisation platforms with effective capacity and performance planning
    • Collaborating with MSPs to deliver robust backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Security & Compliance
    • Implementing and continuously enhancing cybersecurity controls and network security frameworks
    • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and relevant regulatory requirements
    • Leading security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and risk mitigation activities
  • MSP & Vendor Management
    • Acting as the primary technical liaison with Managed Service Providers
    • Defining, monitoring, and enforcing SLAs to ensure high-quality service delivery
    • Managing escalations, driving service improvement, and optimising supplier performance
  • New Village Developments & Projects
    • Providing strategic IT leadership for all new village developments
    • Defining and governing scalable, cost-effective infrastructure and network designs
    • Leading IT readiness for new village openings, ensuring seamless transition into BAU support
    • Acting as the IT lead across village build, mobilisation, and cross-functional project delivery

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering infrastructure and network architecture within multi-site environments
  • Hands-on expertise managing hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud platforms
  • Strong experience implementing and managing cybersecurity controls and network security
  • Demonstrated success managing MSP relationships, suppliers, and vendor contracts
  • Experience leading technical teams and delivering complex infrastructure and transformation projects
  • Strong background in disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and system resilience
