In partnership with Legal & General PLC and NatWest Pension Trustee Limited, with hugely ambitious (and very achievable) growth plans, we are seeking an Entitlements Adviser (Welfare Benefits Adviser) to join our expanding sales team.
The Entitlements Adviser plays a vital supporting the financial wellbeing of both prospective and existing residents across Inspired Villages. You will ensure residents are fully informed of their entitlements to welfare benefits and receive the necessary support to access them. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, the Entitlements Adviser will provide expert guidance, one-to-one support, and training to ensure that residents are empowered, colleagues are informed, and Inspired Villages continues to deliver on its mission of enhancing later living.

The Role:
- Providing a nationwide advisory service, helping ensure residents (both new and existing) maximise their incomes via benefit entitlements
- Assisting residents in completing claim forms if they are unable to complete claims for themselves, or without the aid of someone else (e.g. family member)
- Promoting and providing regular welfare benefit surgeries
- Providing detailed and easy-to-understand advice to help maximise benefit entitlement, taking into account income, capital, health, age, care requirements, and other relevant factors
- Meeting potential residents, providing advice on their potential to afford rent and charges based on an assessment of their likely benefit entitlement
- Providing training and support to enable key stakeholders to fully participate in the assessment and admissions process
- Maintain up-to-date records of all benefits advice given and subsequent claims made in order to enable performance monitoring
- Keeping up to date with benefit legislation and changes through training programmes and ensuring, where applicable, residents are made aware of such changes.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in welfare benefits advice, including practical knowledge of the UK benefits system and application processes
- Writing formal letters and preparing reports, plans and proposals
- Knowledge/awareness of the needs of the specific customer group particularly those of retirement age
- Proven experience of providing welfare benefits advice, preferably in a retirement village, housing or related environment
- Familiarity with digital tools for benefits applications and case management.
