We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team and support the upkeep and smooth running of our villages. We are driven by a clear purpose: to build real communities that enhance the lives of our residents every single day.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake repair work to support preventative maintenance tasks, including legionella control, residential checks, site surveys, and general repairs.
  • Prioritise and complete work requests raised by residents and colleagues, determining the most effective solutions.
  • Report damages and defects promptly and accurately to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct residential checks, monitor issues, and provide practical maintenance solutions.
  • Support the grounds team with gardening, landscaping, and general exterior maintenance duties.
  • Drive the village minibus as part of the driver rota, where required.
  • Assist the Head of Maintenance with repairs related to new building defects.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in building repair, maintenance, or grounds care.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Confident, personable, and professional, with strong communication skills.
  • Any relevant qualifications in building trades, maintenance, or health and safety would be advantageous, though hands-on experience is highly valued.
