As a CMS Author your role will be working closely with our Agile development teams to help build new components, functionality and experiences within the CMS platform. You will work closely with developers to ensure the components are built in an easy‑to‑use and scalable way, and then work with the QA team to ensure they have everything required to test newly built functionality. Working with one of our biggest and most reputable clients within the automotive industry, you’ll be working at the forefront of some exciting projects as part of a wider team to take our team and client forward!
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Working with developers to design the authoring interface of components and pages within AEM
- Working with the QA team to ensure sufficient content is available to test new functionality within our sites
- Working with designers and copywriters to ensure assets and content are sufficient for new functionality
- Creating authoring guides to ensure new functionality is usable by other content editors
- Good understanding of web‑based technologies and best practices
- Understanding the technology and applications for which documentation is prepared
- Gathering and analysing information
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Great attention to detail
- Understanding the importance of Quality Assurance and applying QA methods and techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and strong organisational skills; role demands close work with third‑party companies and key stakeholders
- Proven ability to deliver projects within agreed timelines
- Highly organised, personable and approachable
- Confident, flexible, self‑starter
- Prior experience in AEM or another web‑based content management system is a nice to have but not essential
