Job Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and logs to detect potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the investigation of security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
- Use SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools to collect and analyze logs from various sources.
- Create and maintain documentation related to security incidents and investigations.
- Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and regular security audits.
- Participate in security awareness training and promote cybersecurity best practices within the organization.
- Use ticketing systems to log and track security incidents and their resolution.
- Other duties as assigned, including participating in after-hours on-call rotations for emergency response.
Requirements
- Applicants must reside in Florida or Georgia.
- This is a remote role and requires access to a stable and reliable internet connection.
- Must be able to operate computer and network equipment for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit for long periods and maintain focus during continuous monitoring activities.
- Flexible to work shifts, after hours, and weekends as needed for 24/7 SOC operations.
