You’ll work alongside experienced DO’s and receptionists in a well-equipped, welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct 30-35 minute eye examinations (pre-screening completed)
- Provide exceptional clinical care including MECS and contact lens services
- Work collaboratively with the in-practice team (1x Optometrist, 2x DOs, receptionists)
- Optionally support across Southborough for additional days if preferred
- Maintain accurate records in line with GOC guidelines
- Support clinical training and development within the team if desired
Requirements
- GOC-registered Optometrist (newly qualified or experienced welcome)
- Passion for delivering patient-centric care
- Interest in clinical development (support available for MECS, IP, Medical Retina)
- Comfortable working in a relaxed, independent-style environment
- Ideally someone local, reliable, and seeking a long-term position
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Up to £65,000 (depending on experience)
- Working Hours: 9am-5pm weekdays, 9am-2pm Saturdays (closed 1-2pm weekdays for lunch)
- Days: 3-4 days per week (including the potential for alternate Saturdays)
- Holidays: 28-33 days pro-rata (negotiable)
- Extras: GOC fees covered; Full support for CET courses and clinical development; Indemnity insurance; Free parking at the practice; No KPI pressure – just great patient care
