An independent group of optical practices in South London is seeking a patient-focused, commercially minded Optometrist to join their friendly team across two well-established locations: Forest Hill and West Norwood. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Optometrist who values clinical freedom, realistic testing times, and working in an easy-going, supportive environment – without compromising on career progression or salary.
Salary & Benefits
- Up to 70,000, depending on experience and accreditations
- GOC and professional fees covered
- Supportive of CPD and ongoing clinical development
- Relaxed, non-corporate environment focused on long-term patient care
Working Pattern
- 3-4 days per week
- 1 Saturday per month
- Working Hours: Monday-Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Saturday (when worked): 9:00am – 2:30pm
- 30-40-minute testing times to give you the time you need to provide outstanding care
The Role
- Conduct full, thorough eye examinations with the time to build real patient relationships
- Use your MECS accreditation to manage minor eye conditions with confidence
- Provide tailored product and lens recommendations that suit each patient’s lifestyle
- Drive strong conversion through clinical communication and commercial awareness
- Rotate between two practices with consistent support teams and loyal patient bases
