Optometrist – Billericay, £65,000 Are you a driven Optometrist wanting to work within a longstanding practice with low staff turnover? Are you a clinically minded, commercially aware Optometrist? Competitive salary + bonuses (team sales and individual bonus based on conversion) Free parking spot 25 Minute testing as standard with pre-screening done by support staff Multiple clinic practice Contact lens work if you want it Full time ideally, but will consider part time and alternate weekends Responsibilities of the Optometrist You will conduct standard sight tests in 25-minute slots and can do contact lens fittings if you wish to as well as aftercares, advise and recommendations on products, working with the team to offer the best patient experience. You will be using a range of equipment including OCT, Phoropter, Slit Lamp, Auto-refractor, computerised records and Trial lenses. This practice has all brand new Nidek equipment. This practice offers all enhanced services such as Glaucoma screening, MECS and Cataract referrals. Requirements of the Optometrist The ideal applicant will be hard working and clinically focused with a passion for the business and a commitment to deliver the highest in standards of the customer journey. You will be a friendly and approachable person with a ‘can do’ attitude. You will be punctual, with good timekeeping and be a reliable individual. It is essential that you are a good, clear communicator as well as a people person, having the ability to build rapport with patients. A proactive approach to your work is required as when not testing you will be happy to be on the shop floor answering questions and helping in other areas of the store. This practice is looking for a long-term resident optometrist to help further develop the business and maintain this company’s good reputation. Compensation of the Optometrist On offer to the right person is a competitive salary (depending on experience) ranging from £48,000 to £60,000. As well as your salary, you will also be entitled to benefits and bonuses A team bonus, based on sales An individual bonus, based on conversion rate Professional fees paid 33-days holiday including bank holidays, plus your birthday off and the ability to earn extra holiday with continued service.
