Location: Yeovil & Chard, South West England

Salary: Up to 65,000 FTE + Bonus

Hours: Ideally 4-5 days per week including alternate Saturdays (part-time also considered)

Role Overview

They are currently looking for an enthusiastic and clinically focused Optometrist to join their well-established practices in Yeovil and Chard. You will be part of a passionate and collaborative team in a group that places quality of care and professional development at the heart of what they do. Practice Environment

  • State-of-the-art equipment including Heidelberg OCT, Optomap retinal imaging, and latest Humphrey VFA
  • Spacious, air-conditioned clinics
  • Five dispensing opticians and highly trained support staff
  • Opportunities to work across our two practices (Yeovil being one of the largest independents in the South West, and Chard newly refurbished in 2019)

Professional Development & Team Culture

  • Work alongside a highly skilled clinical team:
  • 4 Independent Prescribing (IP) qualified Optometrists
  • Glaucoma Diploma holder
  • Specialist contact lens fitter
  • 2 trained orthoptists
  • Dyslexia specialist

Support for higher qualifications and special interests is strongly encouraged. Opportunities to work in local hospital clinics including glaucoma, paediatrics, casualty, and orthoptics.

  • Conduct thorough, personalised eye examinations using industry-leading technology
  • Offer specialist services as aligned with your interests and qualifications
  • Deliver an exceptional patient experience and build strong relationships with returning patients
  • Collaborate with the wider clinical and dispensing teams to ensure best outcomes
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the growth and reputation of the practice

  • Fully qualified and GOC registered Optometrist
  • Open to newly qualified and experienced professionals
