We’re hiring for a mobile Optical Assistant role covering the Northwest – mainly Manchester and surrounding areas – Monday to Friday only, 8:30am-5:30pm. No weekends. No late nights. Just a proper work-life balance, a company car, and a bonus scheme that actually rewards you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- You’ll be out on the road, working alongside an Optometrist in care homes, delivering proper eye care to patients who can’t get to a practice.
- You’ll be seeing around 18 patients a day, offering top-tier service, and making a real difference in people’s lives.
- This is ideal if you’re independent, organised, and looking for something different to the usual retail grind.
- Every day is varied, every patient matters, and you’ll finish on time, every time.
What You’ll Need:
- Must be able to drive – you’ll be taking the Optom out with you.
- Solid optical experience – confident with pre-screening, dispensing and patient care.
- A calm, friendly approach – many patients are elderly or vulnerable.
- Someone who’s professional but down-to-earth – no corporate waffle.
