If you’re an experienced Optical Assistant looking for something different — and rewarding — we’re working with a well-established domiciliary provider who delivers first-class optical care to patients in their own homes. Covering Kilmarnock, Ayr, Irvine and surrounding coastal areas, this role offers a refreshing change of pace, without the usual weekend grind.
What’s on offer:
Monday to Friday – no weekends, early finishes most days
£27,000 salary + company car

What you’ll be doing:
- Setting up and running clinics in patients’ homes
- Visiting patients across Kilmarnock, Ayr, Irvine and the west coast
- Dispensing glasses (including varifocals) to patients of all ages
- Providing kind, personalised care to elderly and vulnerable individuals
- Working independently or with a colleague depending on the clinic
- Managing around 4–12 dispenses per day
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in optics
- Confident dispensing across all prescription types
- Comfortable working solo and managing your day
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience with Acuitas is a bonus
- Someone with a warm, caring approach and a passion for people
