Salary: £30,000 plus (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time | 37.5 hours per week (closed on Sundays)

We’re currently working with a well-established, family-run independent optical practice in Liverpool, with a fantastic reputation within the local community.
This is a lovely opportunity for an experienced Practice Manager to join a genuinely supportive team where patients and people come first, while taking real ownership of the day-to‑day running of the practice. You’ll have the opportunity to lead the team, solve problems, improve the day‑to‑day operation and make key decisions, with the support of an approachable Director when needed.
This is a role where you can genuinely make your mark, develop your leadership skills and become an integral part of a successful independent practice.
Important Requirement:
You must have a minimum of 12 months’ experience working within optics. Applications without this will not be considered.

Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of the day‑to‑day management, acting as the main point of contact for the team and dealing confidently with queries and issues as they arise
- Problem‑solving independently, using your initiative to find solutions
- Leading, supporting and motivating small teams, ensuring everyone understands their responsibilities and maintains high standards
- Managing the commercial and operational performance of the practice, including sales, KPIs, stock, orders and accurate administration
- Ensuring excellent patient care and service standards are consistently maintained
- Supporting with staff rotas, holidays, absence, training and performance, creating a positive and accountable team culture
What we are looking for:
- Previous Practice Manager or strong senior optical experience, with the confidence to lead a team and take ownership
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to handle day‑to‑day issues independently
- Strong commercial awareness, including confidence with sales, KPIs and driving practice performance
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation, particularly around orders, stock, administration and financial accuracy
- A confident, approachable leadership style with the ability to support, challenge and motivate a team
- A proactive mindset – someone who sees what needs doing, takes responsibility and doesn’t wait to be asked
