This opticians has four test rooms, including a dedicated contact lens clinic and an audiology department, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional care and service.
You will be working in a large busy store surrounded by a very supportive and close-knit team who are willing to help and aid you in the right direction, as they are big on team building and work to provide an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist them in choosing the right frames, lenses, and other optical products that suit their needs.
Retail Support: Provide knowledgeable advice on frame selection, lens types, and additional treatments while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Appointment Management: Support the clinical team by managing the diary, booking appointments, and ensuring patientsβ journeys are seamless.
Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest optical products and promotions to enhance the customer experience.
Technical Assistance: Adjust and repair glasses, ensuring a perfect fit for customers.
Audiology Support: Assist the audiology department when needed, including booking appointments and providing information about hearing aids and services.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in a fast-paced environment to meet the demands of a busy practice.
Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician
GOC Qualified and up to date with CET points
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
A up-beat and friendly β attitude the ability to build rapport with customers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Experience of working with in an optician is beneficial, but not essential as full training will be provided,
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
A competitive salary ranging from 32,000 to 35,000 based on 40-hours per week.
You will also be entitled to a performance-based bonus scheme
Holiday entitlement is 20-days, plus bank holidays as well as your birthday off and 1-day extra per year, up to 25-days holiday
Private healthcare through Aviva
Hours are 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sundays and will include 1 weekend day.
