We’re currently recruiting for an Optical Assistant to join a well-established practice near Bexhill. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a genuinely friendly, close-knit team where patient care always comes first.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and increasing demand, our client is looking to add an Optical Assistant to their team. They are looking for an experienced Optical Assistant who can demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for helping people. This role is available on either a 4 or 5 day basis and offers the chance to work within a supportive environment where development and progression are actively encouraged.

The Role

As an Optical Assistant, you’ll play an important part in delivering an exceptional patient experience, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice and building lasting relationships with patients. Duties will include:

  • Dispensing spectacles and advising on frame and lens options
  • Delivering outstanding customer service
  • Supporting patients throughout their journey in practice
  • Booking appointments and managing enquiries
  • Assisting with day-to-day practice operations
  • Working closely with the wider team to maintain high standards of care

  • Optical experience is essential
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Salary & Benefits

  • 25k+ FTE depending on experience
  • 5 weeks holiday plus Bank Holidays

Working Hours

  • 4 or 5 days per week available
  • Saturdays required
  • No Sunday working
  • Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
  • Saturday: 8:45am – 4:00pm
