We’re recruiting for a 12-month parental leave cover in a Publisher role with one of the leading publishers in the Humanities and Social Sciences. This position focuses on a fast-growing portfolio of digital products, with responsibilities spanning content acquisition and innovative product development within these subject areas.

Role details:

Salary: £44,000 – £53,000

12 month FTC / full time

Location: London (2 set days in the office per week)

What You’ll Be Doing:

As Publisher, you’ll lead the strategic growth of digital products in the Humanities and Social Sciences, forging new partnerships and overseeing the full product lifecycle. You’ll work closely with subject editors, licensors, and cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas to market.

Key responsibilities include:

·Shaping digital list strategy, from long-term planning to individual business cases

·Driving product performance and leading initiatives to boost engagement and impact

·Developing new products in collaboration with editors, including P&L creation and concept development

·Pitching partnership opportunities to IP holders, negotiating contracts, and nurturing external relationships

·Overseeing editorial budgets and profitability across platforms as project director

·Line management of one team member
