Our client is seeking an experienced Publicist to join their team on a maternity cover for 12 months. This position is based in their London office and offers a hybrid working environment over 4 days per week. The successful candidate will lead on publicity campaigns for a diverse portfolio of titles, aiming to secure interviews, reviews, features, opinion pieces, event participation, and both broadcast and digital media coverage. These titles cover a wide array of topics, including politics and world history, economics and environmental issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compelling publicity campaigns for assigned titles, actively engaging with current political and cultural conversations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with book reviewers, producers, and editors across major national media, ensuring optimal coverage for each campaign.
  • Coordinate with authors and editorial teams to align on messaging, while proactively seeking opportunities for media engagement and public visibility.
