Product Marketing Manager | London (Hybrid, 3 days per week in office) | excellent salary + bonus + benefits

We're working with a leading global Higher Education publisher to recruit a Product Marketing Manager to join their international team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded marketer who enjoys understanding customer needs, shaping compelling product messaging and working closely with sales teams to drive growth. Sitting at the intersection of product, sales and marketing, you'll help ensure products are positioned effectively to maximise market impact and commercial performance across the UK and international markets.

Importantly, this is a product marketing role rather than a campaign management position. You'll focus on market insight, customer segmentation, positioning, messaging and sales enablement, whilst working in partnership with specialist lifecycle and campaign teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop product positioning, messaging and value propositions for Higher Education products and services.
  • Manage key subject portfolios while identifying opportunities for growth in emerging areas.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitor activity to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Partner closely with sales teams to support ambitious commercial targets and revenue growth.
  • Deliver product training and sales enablement activities, including presentations at sales conferences.
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to help shape future product development and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Monitor performance, optimise activity and make recommendations to maximise return on investment.

About You

  • Experience in product marketing, proposition marketing or a commercially focused marketing role.
  • Strong commercial awareness and enthusiasm for working towards business goals.
  • An understanding of customer segmentation, positioning and messaging.
  • Experience working effectively with sales teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, hands-on approach and eagerness to learn.

Experience within educational publishing, academic publishing, Higher Education or EdTech would be highly advantageous. Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI or similar tools would be beneficial, although training can be provided.

You'll be joining a close-knit, collaborative team with a genuine "everyone gets stuck in" culture, offering excellent opportunities to learn, develop and grow within a global publishing organisation.

Closing date: 25th October, early applications may be prioritised.

We treat all employees and job applicants fairly and equally regardless of their sex, sexual orientation, marital status, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion, age, disability or union membership status.
