About the Role:
As Project Manager, you\’ll lead and deliver complex digital learning projects, ranging from new product development to major course redevelopment, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations. You\’ll oversee planning, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, procurement, risk management, and reporting across multiple cross-functional teams.
You\’ll play a vital part in shaping how surgeons and healthcare professionals access education, working with internal colleagues and external experts such as clinical leads, educators, instructional designers, and digital learning specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
·Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables
·Lead stakeholder engagement and ensure clear communication across all project phases
·Coordinate and motivate multidisciplinary project teams
·Oversee procurement, tendering, and resource planning
·Identify and manage project risks and interdependencies
·Report on progress and financial performance, and support ongoing evaluation
·Contribute to the sustainability and long-term impact of projects
Ideal Candidate:
We\’re looking for a confident and experienced project manager who can lead and deliver multiple complex projects simultaneously. You\’ll have a proven track record of managing and delivering projects with diverse stakeholders, ideally within an educational, digital learning, e-learning, online learning, EdTech or publishing environment. Familiarity with formal project management methodologies such as Agile or Prince2 is important, as is the ability to write reports, monitor budgets, and use data and evidence to solve problems and drive performance.
Strong communication skills are essential, both written and verbal, along with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage resources under tight deadlines. You\’ll need excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate with individuals at all levels, including senior clinicians and subject matter experts. Confidence using project planning software, spreadsheets, and standard office applications is key.
While not essential, it would be advantageous to have a recognised project management qualification such as APMP or PMP. Experience in the healthcare sector, working with volunteers, or managing publishing and editorial processes would also be beneficial, as would be a working knowledge of postgraduate education and training, particularly in a healthcare context.
