What you’ll be doing:
- Researching, writing and editing news stories, features and interviews for print and digital publications
- Assisting with the production of a well-established membership magazine
- Supporting daily website updates and digital content creation
- Contributing to email newsletters and other audience engagement activities
- Building relationships with industry contacts and conducting interviews
- Attending industry events, exhibitions and conferences to generate content and industry insight
- Working closely with the wider editorial team to help deliver engaging content for a specialist professional audience
- Learning about editorial planning, commissioning and content strategy
What we’re looking for:
- Degree educated, ideally in Journalism, English, Media, Communications or a related subject (or equivalent experience)
- Previous editorial, writing, publishing or journalism experience through internships, placements, university publications or an entry-level role
- Excellent written English and strong attention to detail
- A genuine interest in journalism, publishing and current affairs
- Curious, proactive and eager to learn
- Comfortable speaking with industry professionals and building relationships
- Willingness to work primarily from the Nottingham office and be part of a collaborative team environment
