An established and respected B2B media organisation is seeking a talented Assistant Editor to help shape the future of a legacy print and digital publishing portfolio. Specialising in industry-leading coverage for the construction sector, the team produces monthly magazines, digital bulletins, and runs major industry exhibitions and member-focused initiatives. The role is ideally office-based, although a hybrid model will be considered depending on the candidate with a minimum of 2 days a week in the Nottingham city centre office.
You'll be working with a highly collaborative team to support knowledge transfer and bring fresh insight to the content strategy as well as play a central role in producing a well-established membership magazine, leading online content, and contributing to the evolution of a digital-first editorial model.
Key responsibilities:- Write, edit, commission and sub high-quality editorial content for print and web
- Contribute to digital content strategy, including weekly bulletins and daily news updates
- Build strong relationships within the industry and attend key sector events to inform content
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and support the growth of junior editorial talent
- Bring creativity and editorial vision to publications serving a specialist B2B audience
- Strong B2B publishing background, ideally within construction, engineering, or manufacturing
- Editorial experience across both print and digital channels
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with strong team values
- Comfortable navigating sensitive dynamics in a legacy team structure
