My client is looking for a Hardware Specialist to join our Christchurch, Dorset team. The role will be hands onsite full time. The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.

As a Hardware Specialist at our Christchurch location, your responsibilities will include:

  • Bridging the gap between Production Engineering and Design Engineers.
  • Resolving business-related technical challenges with minimum disruption to manufacturing or design engineering.
  • Involvement in all aspects of Obsolescence Engineering, including report writing and checking and technical analysis of replacement parts.

Location: Christchurch, Dorset

Key requirements:

  • A pro-active approach to problem solving.
  • Able to produce accurate records of all work undertaken.
  • Adept at technical report writing.
  • Capable of diagnosing and fault-finding a variety of products to component level.

What You Bring:

  • Broad-based knowledge of Digital, Analogue and Microcontroller based circuitry.
  • An aptitude for general engineering (including mechanical) and problem solving (primarily Electronics biased).
  • A structured, methodical approach.
  • A team-player with a positive, flexible approach.
  • Able to adapt to situations as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access, Outlook).
  • Previous experience in Avionics, Aerospace or other highly regulated industry.
  • Able to write clear, concise engineering reports.
