My client is looking for a Hardware Specialist to join our Christchurch, Dorset team. The role will be hands onsite full time. As a Hardware Specialist at our Christchurch location, your responsibilities will include:
- Bridging the gap between Production Engineering and Design Engineers.
- Resolving business-related technical challenges with minimum disruption to manufacturing or design engineering.
- Involvement in all aspects of Obsolescence Engineering, including report writing and checking and technical analysis of replacement parts.
Location: Christchurch, Dorset
Key requirements:
- A pro-active approach to problem solving.
- Able to produce accurate records of all work undertaken.
- Adept at technical report writing.
- Capable of diagnosing and fault-finding a variety of products to component level.
What You Bring:
- Broad-based knowledge of Digital, Analogue and Microcontroller based circuitry.
- An aptitude for general engineering (including mechanical) and problem solving (but the position primarily Electronics biased).
- A structured, methodical approach.
- A team-player with a positive, flexible approach.
- Able to adapt to situations as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access, Outlook).
- Previous experience in Avionics, Aerospace or other highly regulated industry.
- Able to write clear, concise engineering reports.
