My client is looking for a product validation technician to work onsite in Farnham, Surrey on an electrical vehicle and powertrain project. The role will involve the mechanical and electrical assembly of motors ensuring the highest possible quality.
- Build and test of electronics modules.
- Generating build documentation.
- Setting up tests including designing and building test jigs and fixtures, wiring & soldering.
- Generating test documentation.
- Assisting development of an electronics test strategy for each of the company’s products.
Requirements:
- HNC/Tech Level IV or above in a related technical discipline.
- Appropriate experience as an electromechanical technician in an R&D laboratory or product development environment.
- Experienced in using lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, current clamps, datalogger.
- Experienced with soldering and wiring.
- Testing Low Voltage products.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Experienced in working to test procedures and generating test reports.
- Working in an ISO9001 environment.
- Familiarity with and testing of Low Voltage electric motors and inverters.
