We are currently working in partnership with a well-established independent opticians in the Southampton area, who are looking to welcome a patient-focused Optometrist into their friendly and professional team. Role Overview
As an Optometrist, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding eye care services, ensuring patients receive thorough, professional, and personalised clinical care. You will work closely with a highly experienced and supportive team, with access to modern diagnostic technology and excellent clinical support.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens appointments
- Provide expert clinical advice and tailored solutions for patients
- Work in line with GOC standards and professional guidelines
- Deliver exceptional levels of patient care and communication
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team
- Use specialist diagnostic equipment including OCT, tonometry, visual fields and fundus photography
- Keep up to date with CPD and professional development
Candidate Requirements
- GOC registered Optometrist
- Confident and patient-focused approach
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Passion for delivering high standards of eye care
- Ability to work well within a supportive team environment
- Previous experience in community practice preferred
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary - £51,500 to £62,800 DOE
- Professional fees paid
- Generous holiday allowance - 33 days including bank holidays (pro-rata)
