Full-Time Optical Assistant - Independent Practice East London

We’re currently working with a well-established independent optical practice in East London that is looking to add a confident and experienced Optical Assistant to their friendly team. This is a professional, patient-focused environment where quality service matters and where experienced Optical Assistants are trusted to do what they do best.
About the Role
This is a full-time Optical Assistant position where you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the practice. You’ll be working closely with patients, supporting clinical workflow, and dispensing confidently across a wide range of prescriptions. This role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships with patients and takes pride in delivering proper service - the kind that keeps people coming back year after year.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and providing excellent customer care
- Pre-screening patients and supporting the clinical team
- Dispensing spectacles confidently at all levels, including:
- Single vision
- Bifocal
- Varifocal
- More complex prescriptions
Working Hours
5 days per week
Monday to Thursday: 9:30am - 6:00pm (1-hour lunch)
Sunday: 10:00am - 4:00pm (40-minute lunch)
