We're working with a respected domiciliary eye care provider looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to deliver outstanding patient care in their own homes across West London and surrounding areas.
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys helping people, working independently, and making a genuine difference to patients who may struggle to access traditional high street opticians.
You'll enjoy a better work-life balance with Monday-Friday working only and no weekends.
Important: You must have at least 12 months' optical experience and a full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
The Role
- Supporting domiciliary eye care clinics
- Visiting patients in their own homes
- Dispensing spectacles, including varifocals
- Carrying out frame selections, measurements and adjustments
- Working alongside an optometrist to deliver expert care
- Completing around 8-12 dispenses per day
- Providing a calm, caring and professional service
You'll Need
- Minimum 12 months' optical experience
- Confidence working independently
- Experience with dispensing (varifocal experience beneficial)
- Full clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- A patient-focused and caring approach
- Acuitas or care background is beneficial but not essential
