YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN OPTICS. IF NOT, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED.
You will be working in a small but busy practice surrounded by a very supportive and close-knit team who are willing to help and aid you in the right direction, as they are big on team building and work to provide an excellent customer experience. The owner has a wealth of knowledge and encourages a positive, friendly working atmosphere so that patients and staff enjoy their time together. Patient focus and customer service is a big priority of theirs and find that this leads to success in sales and patient retention.
Responsibilities for the Optical Assistant:
- Dispensing spectacles to customers of all levels.
- Conducting pre-screen tests and providing comprehensive contact lens teachings.
- Assisting patients with frame styling and offering expert advice on suitable options.
- Managing reception duties and contributing to general administrative tasks.
- Working 09:00am - 17:30pm, 5-days inclusive of Saturdays.
Requirements for the Optical Assistant:
- Minimum 12 months experience in a customer service or optics role.
- Commercial awareness and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- To be a real team player and help in other departments.
- An up-beat, friendly attitude.
- Being able to think independently and using initiative.
- Clear communication coupled with the ability to build rapport with people.
