This opticians are a family-run group, known for its commitment to patient-first care and employee wellbeing. This branch reflects these values through a relaxed and friendly team culture, with access to all key clinical schemes including MECS and support for IP and Medical Retina training. You'll work alongside experienced DO's and receptionists in a well-equipped, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 30-35 minute eye examinations (pre-screening completed)
  • Provide exceptional clinical care including MECS and contact lens services
  • Work collaboratively with the in-practice team (1x Optometrist, 2x DOs, receptionists)
  • Optionally support across Southborough for additional days if preferred
  • Maintain accurate records in line with GOC guidelines
  • Support clinical training and development within the team if desired

Requirements:

  • GOC-registered Optometrist (newly qualified or experienced welcome)
  • Passion for delivering patient-centric care
  • Interest in clinical development (support available for MECS, IP, Medical Retina)
  • Comfortable working in a relaxed, independent-style environment
  • Ideally someone local, reliable, and seeking a long-term position

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: Up to £65,000 (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: 9am-5pm weekdays, 9am-2pm Saturdays (closed 1-2pm weekdays for lunch)
  • Days: 3-4 days per week (including the potential for alternate Saturdays)
  • Holidays: 28-33 days pro-rata (negotiable)
