An established, high-end independent optical practice based near to Amersham is seeking a Qualified Dispensing Optician to join its experienced and professional team. The Role

This vacancy has arisen following the upcoming retirement of a long-standing Dispensing Optician. This is a key position within the practice and offers the opportunity to work in a stable, well-run independent business where patient care and professional standards come first. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a premium dispensing experience and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care with a professional and consultative approach

  • Work closely with Optometrists and the wider clinical team
  • Maintain high clinical and retail standards throughout the practice

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be:

  • GOC registered Dispensing Optician
  • A strong team player with a professional and patient-focused attitude
  • Experienced in independent practice or high-end optical environments (desirable)
  • Confident dispensing premium frames and lenses
  • Reliable, organised and committed to delivering excellence in patient care

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Competitive basic salary of 32,000 - 37,000 DOE (open to negotiation)
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays

Practice opening hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 08:45 - 17:30
