Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly organised and customer‑focused Customer Service Advisor to join our team. This role is based in our Harrogate office full time.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to customer enquiries.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
  • Co‑ordinate and liaise with contractors to ensure work is scheduled and completed efficiently.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Prepare, create and manage all associated paperwork and documentation.
  • Produce accurate quotations, job costings and financial documentation.
  • Monitor costs to ensure projects remain commercially viable and within agreed budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records, filing systems and customer databases.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and complies with company procedures.
  • Resolve customer queries and issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support continuous improvement of administrative and customer service processes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team and business objectives.
  • Read and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy, taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience in a customer service or customer support role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience creating and managing administrative documentation.
  • Good understanding of financial information, including P&L, GP margin.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent record‑keeping and document management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience working with contractors or within a service, maintenance, construction or facilities management environment.
  • Experience using CRM or case management software such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Knowledge of invoicing and purchase orders.
