Portfolio Manager in Kirkham

We are looking for a Portfolio Manager to join our successful Risk team. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in our Kirkham (Lancashire) head office.

Responsibilities

• Weekly tendering for all Collectives customers sites and meters
• Check all supply contracts prior to sending to Account Managers
• Portfolios site lists must be cross‑referenced with the suppliers each month; any differences need to be highlighted and then discussed with the client‑facing teams where necessary
• Issue regular site lists to the client‑facing teams
• Obtain trades‑shapes and position reports on a monthly basis from the supplier
• Manage the volume in the portfolios; it should be monitored and reported each month to the Risk Directors
• Terms and conditions on any trades‑shape documents should be checked to be inline with what has been agreed between Inspired and the supplier
• Monthly monitoring of volume tolerances
• Upload/re‑update relevant information on Sugar (internal system)
• Credit information must be relayed to relevant parties at the earliest opportunity
• Manage the Collective’s timeline both internally and externally
• Obtain all Non‑Commodity rates, and ensure they are validated, inline with the agreed timeline
• Communicate all billing rates to the internal teams and add all billing rates to Sugar (internal system)
• Assist with the future Collective’s framework tenders
• Carry out KPI meetings or conference calls with relevant suppliers on a regular basis
• Support the Supplier Relationship Manager with day‑to‑day supplier activities and escalations for the Collective’s suppliers being managed
• Ad‑hoc tasks as required

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

• Energy industry experience
• Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience, including English and Maths at least Grade Core equivalent
• Communicate and influence at any level within an organisation
• Strong time‑management/prioritisation skills
• Ability to work alone
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excel proficient
• Excellent standard of spoken and written English
• Ability to travel
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position (desirable)
• Commercial awareness
• Strategic thinker able to understand complex issues and come up with solutions
• Experience in project management
• Experience in management
• Experience in commercial negotiation and contracts
