Role and Responsibilities
You will support the preparations of ESG disclosures to our industrial, commercial, and public sector customers across multiple frameworks (SECR, Scope 3 inventories, Net‑Zero Strategies, TCFD, CDP, PRI, GRI, SASB, GRESB). In addition, you will help create effective client strategies for setting and achieving ambitious emission‑reduction targets and other ESG impacts and develop market‑leading ESG services.
- Conduct data analysis and report production for strategic ESG and reporting services, focusing on Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions calculations and SECR disclosures.
- Prepare TCFD, climate scenarios, CDP, and other ESG disclosures and assessments.
- Develop Net‑Zero Strategy and Science‑Based Target setting.
- Analyse technical and financial data on environmental, social, and governance solutions to provide practical and commercial information to customers.
- Research and analyse climate scenarios, GHG emissions, and net‑zero to support external communications.
- Attend internal and client meetings / video conferences, and manage progress updates.
- Read and comply with the company’s Health and Safety Policy, and cooperate with managers and colleagues to fulfil statutory duties.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Degree in STEM, Humanities, or equivalent professional experience.
- Aware of and interested in ESG, climate‑change mitigation, Net‑Zero strategies, and policy drivers.
- Ability to turn complex technical data into client‑ready information.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong report‑writing capabilities.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects.
Desirable:
- 2+ years of experience in consultancy or analytical roles focused on ESG, carbon, or environmental management.
- Experience with carbon‑footprint calculations (Scope 1 & 2) and SECR reporting.
- Experience producing Scope 3 emissions inventories.
- Experience with reporting & compliance schemes such as CDP.
- Product life‑cycle assessment experience.
