We are looking for a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join our Manufacturing site in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent position offering £30,725 per annum and working Monday – Thursday only.

On Offer:

  • £13.03 per hour
  • 48 hours per week Monday to Friday
  • Paid last Friday of each month

Please note there is no public transport route to our factory, therefore you will need your own transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply the production departments with raw and packaging materials to maintain a continuous production programme.
  • Locate all finished goods from production areas into the Warehouse for storage until dispatch.
  • Unload as required all incoming vehicles and rack away the materials following acceptance and GRN generation.
  • Pick and assemble loads ready for dispatch.
  • Load outgoing vehicles with finished goods as detailed on the loading dispatch paperwork.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times, ensuring the safety of myself and colleagues.
  • Follow health and safety policies and procedures and raise any concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Ensure FLT fleet is fit for purpose through completing starter documentation and reporting damage to FLTs and plant damage following the appropriate procedure.
  • Undertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required.
  • Act as a buddy for new colleagues and provide guidance where necessary.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role within manufacturing.
  • FLT / Counterbalance or reach truck experience (must be able to provide certificate or licence).
  • A good standard of education; demonstrates good literacy and numerical skills, able to understand, communicate and report clearly in English.
