Overview
Currently Recruiting for a Team Leader for our Fresh Ingredients Kitchen based in our manufacturing facility near Thirsk, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent opportunity.
Role details: 44 hours per week (rotational days and nights).
On Offer:
- £17.15 per hour (including shift allowance) (£39,239 per annum)
- 44 hours per week (rotational days and nights)
- Hourly pay, paid monthly on the last Friday of every month
Responsibilities
- Working Safely: Work in a safe manner at all times ensuring the safety of myself and colleagues. Follow health and safety policies and procedures and raise any health and safety concerns through the appropriate channels
- Facilitating Teamwork: Create an environment where team members can collaborate, communicate, and work together toward common goals
- Execute IPN ways of working: Meet and greet at the start of the shift and provide regular updates, praise a job well done, and give clear direction on daily tasks and any changes
- Task Assignment: Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and strengths
- Daily Management: Monitor and assess team performance; provide regular feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Resource Allocation: Manage resources effectively, including budgets, personnel, and other resources to ensure the team can complete tasks
- Problem Solving and Decision Making: Address issues and make decisions that impact progress; resolve conflicts and make strategic choices
- Communication: Communicate goals, expectations, progress, and changes in plans or strategies
- Quality Assurance: Ensure work meets quality standards and adheres to relevant processes and guidelines
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, seek ways to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and promote innovation
- Reporting and Documentation: Keep accurate records, prepare reports, and document team activities and achievements
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in food manufacturing or a related industry is preferred
- Demonstrable leadership skills and experience of managing teams in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
- Problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards
- Effective communication skills
Location & Requirements
Please note there is no public transport to the factory; you will need your own transport. To be considered, you must live within a 25 mile radius of YO7 3HE and have your own transport.
