The Role β Production and Raw Materials Planning Manager
As the Production and Raw Materials Planning Manager, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for translating customer and business needs into accurate production schedules, raw material orders, and resource plans. You\βll ensure we meet demand while optimising stock, cost, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Planning Leadership
Convert sales forecasts into effective production, material, procurement, and labour plans
Lead, coach, and develop the planning team to achieve high performance and engagement
Maintain a safe and supportive working environment across the team
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Commercial and Supply Chain teams to build accurate sales and delivery forecasts
Contribute to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) forums and transport planning meetings
Liaise directly with customers and suppliers to support joint business planning where required
Budgeting & Process Optimisation
Assist in the construction of budgets and manage spend across the function
Monitor material availability and inventory to ensure continuity of supply
Support service performance and cost efficiency through proactive planning
Broad knowledge of the supply chain gained through prior experience
Strong understanding of sales order processing and distribution planning
Proven success working with a wide range of suppliers and internal stakeholders
Skilled in inventory management and material availability
Experienced in managing budgets and customer service performance
Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams (training and development can be supported)
