Join to apply for the Operational Trainer role at INSPIRED pet nutrition. We are excited to be recruiting for an Operational Trainer to join our Fresh Ingredients Kitchen (FIK) in our manufacturing site in Thirsk, North Yorkshire on a permanent basis.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct capability confirmations to sign colleagues off as “competent” following training from the colleague’s Team Leader.
- Where colleagues require additional support in capability, deliver training.
- Collaboration with Area Managers, ASL’s and Team Leaders.
- Support the development and updating of skills training programs and materials to meet these needs, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and industry standards.
- Work with Area Managers and other subject matter experts to maintain, update and develop standard operating procedures including working practice updates, coordinating and delivering refresher training to Team Leaders, through observations, assessments, retraining or policy and procedure updates.
- Utilise technology and management systems for efficient training program delivery and tracking.
- Engage with new factory installations and processes, ensuring that training requirements are identified and delivered within agreed timescales.
- Supporting process teams with agreed trials, NPD & EPD initiatives to ensure that training has evolved where required in line with these.
- Collaborate with managers and team leaders to identify performance issues or process improvement requirements and design targeted training solutions.
- Ensure training records and skills matrices are maintained to audit ready standards.
- Ensure the skills matrices and training records is being maintained by the ASL for all colleagues.
- Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of training interventions in improving employee performance and capability.
- Quality check, govern and validate training and competence standards are being met through regular health checking and gaps resolved via audits.
- Collect feedback from colleagues and management regarding training programs and make improvements based on feedback.
- Maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders involved in training initiatives.
- Monitoring and reviewing progress of learners through feedback questionnaires, observations and discussions with managers.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Attainment of Numeracy and Literacy at entry Level 2.
- Working knowledge of the use of computer systems such as Word, Excel, Email, PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for quality.
- A working knowledge of production and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience buddying and coaching individuals to learn new tasks.
- Train the Trainer qualification or equivalent.
- Assessor qualification or equivalent.
- Effective communication skills.
