We are looking for a Logistics Operative / FLT Driver to join our Distribution Centre in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent position and is working on a Monday - Thursday nights shift (18:00 - 06:00).
On Offer:
- £13.29 plus £2.10 shift allowance.
- 12 hour shift, 48 hours per week.
- Paid last Friday of each month.
- Please note there are no public transport routes to our factory, therefore you will need your own transport!
The Role:
To ensure processes are followed within the warehouse to ensure products are receipted in, stored and despatched to the agreed standards and loading plans whilst keeping our colleagues safe.
Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver:
- Supply the production departments with raw and packaging materials in order to maintain a continuous production programme.
- Locate all finished goods from production areas into the Warehouse for storage until despatch.
- Unload as and when required all incoming vehicles and rack away the materials following acceptance and GRN generation.
- Pick and assemble loads ready for dispatch. Load outgoing vehicles with finished goods as detailed on the loading despatch paperwork.
- Work in a safe manner at all times ensuring the safety of myself and colleagues. Follow health and safety policies and procedures at all times and raise any health and safety concerns through the appropriate channels.
- Ensure FLT fleet is fit for purpose through completing starter documentation and reporting damage to FLTs and plant damage by following the appropriate procedure.
- Undertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required. Act as a buddy for new colleagues and provide guidance where necessary.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications of the Production Operator:
- Experience in a same / similar role within Manufacturing.
- FLT / Counter balance or reach truck experience is essential (must be able to provide certificate or license).
- A good standard of education; demonstrates good literacy and numerical skills, able to understand, communicate and report clearly in English.
