The Opportunity
We are looking for Skilled Production Operatives and Multi Skilled Production Operatives to join our Manufacturing site in Crick, Northamptonshire. We have opportunities available across different departments and different shift patterns available.

IPN is an innovative, well‑established, and award‑winning pet food manufacturer, employing over 850 people across our three UK sites. Our family of brands includes Harringtons, Wagg, Barking Heads & Meowing Heads, AATU, Blink, Butchers, Classic Cat and a selection of partner brands that trust us to produce food on their behalf. Our kitchens in Thirsk, Kinmel and Crick produce dry, wet, and baked foods which are enjoyed by dogs and cats all over the world.
The Role
To ensure processes are followed within the production to ensure products are produced in line with production plans to the highest level of quality whilst keeping our colleagues safe.
On Offer
- £14.50 plus shift allowance for preferred shift (Skilled Operator salary)
- £15.35 plus shift allowance for preferred shift (Multi Skilled Operator salary)
- Early shift: 6am – 2pm
- Late shift: 2pm – 10pm (+ £1.28 per hour shift allowance)
- Night Shift – 10pm – 6am (+ £1.99 per hour shift allowance)
- 40 hours per week Monday – Friday
- Paid monthly
Key Responsibilities
- Follow production directions and ensure that products are packed using the correct combination and volumes of WIP
- Maintain the highest level of quality throughout the production process, through compliance with relevant Food Safety legislation, standards and requirements
- Follow the ‘Clean As You Go’ policy at all times to ensure that the department operates to the highest standards of hygiene
- Carry out hourly production checks and report any issues immediately to the Area Shift Leader or the Area Manager
- Monitor the effectiveness of machinery and equipment, and report breakdowns to the Engineering department
- Promote a people‑safe culture within the department, complying with policies and procedures and reporting any safety issues and plant damage through the appropriate procedures
- Minimise waste of raw materials, products, packaging, chemicals and water whilst undertaking duties within the department
- Undertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required. Act as a buddy for new colleagues and provide guidance where necessary
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role within manufacturing
- Experience working within a fast‑paced production team and able to run multiple lines
- A good standard of education; demonstrates good literacy and numerical skills
- Able to understand, communicate and report clearly in English
- Food Hygiene Accreditation desirable
