We are looking for a Logistics Operative to join our busy Logistics team based in Crick, Northamptonshire. The main purpose of the role is to ensure processes are followed within the warehouse to ensure products are receipted in, stored and despatched to the agreed standards and loading plans whilst keeping our colleagues safe.
Position type: Permanent, Site-based
On Offer:
- Hourly salary of £14.50 per hour
- Early Shift – 6am – 2pm
- 40 hours per week – Monday - Friday
- Paid monthly
Responsibilities:
- Supply the production departments with raw and packaging materials in order to maintain a continuous production programme
- Locate all finished goods from production areas into the Warehouse for storage until dispatch
- Unload incoming vehicles and rack the materials following acceptance and GRN generation
- Pick and assemble loads ready for dispatch. Load outgoing vehicles with finished goods as detailed on the loading dispatch paperwork
- Work in a safe manner at all times ensuring the safety of myself and colleagues. Follow health and safety policies and procedures and raise any concerns through the appropriate channels
- Maintain principles of stock rotation through FIFO technique
- Ensure FLT fleet is fit for purpose through completing starter documentation and reporting damage
- Undertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required. Act as a buddy for new colleagues and provide guidance where necessary
You’ll need to:
- Have a good standard of education; demonstrates good literacy and numerical skills
- Be able to communicate and report clearly in English
- Experience in a similar role, working independently with minimum supervision
- Food Hygiene Accreditation desirable
- Have Counter balance / reach truck FLT licence
