We’re looking for a proactive and organised Operational Trainer to support colleagues across our production areas by delivering high-quality training, onboarding new starters, maintaining accurate training records, and helping to build capability across the site. What You’ll Be Doing
- Conducting capability assessments and confirming competency across production roles.
- Delivering hands-on training to colleagues who require additional development.
- Working closely with Area Managers, ASLs and Team Leaders to identify skills gaps and training needs.
- Maintaining and updating skills matrices and training records to audit-ready standards.
- Supporting the creation, review and delivery of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Providing refresher training and ensuring ongoing compliance with operational standards.
- Assisting with new process introductions, trials and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluating training effectiveness and adapting plans based on colleague performance and feedback.
About You
- Experience in training, coaching or buddying within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Good understanding of production processes with a passion for quality and development.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work at pace.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A ‘Train the Trainer’ and/or Assessor qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
