We are looking for a Skilled Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join our manufacturing site in Crick, Northamptonshire. This is a permanent position available on days shift.
Role Details
- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (12-hour shifts)
- This shift pattern offers predictability, extended rest periods, and the ability to plan time outside of work.
- Average of 42 hours per week
- Days: 06:00 - 18:00
- Hourly rate: £16.09 (£14.79 plus a shift allowance of £1.30 per hour)
Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver
- Supply production departments with raw and packaging materials to maintain a continuous production programme
- Transport finished goods from production areas to the warehouse for storage until despatch
- Unload incoming vehicles as required and store materials following acceptance and GRN generation
- Pick and assemble loads for despatch and load outgoing vehicles in line with despatch paperwork
- Work safely at all times, following health and safety policies and procedures and raising any concerns through appropriate channels
- Ensure the FLT fleet is fit for purpose by completing pre-use documentation and reporting any vehicle or plant damage according to procedure
- Participate in training and support the development of colleagues when required, including acting as a mentor for new team members
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in a similar warehouse or manufacturing role
- Valid FLT licence with counterbalance or reach truck experience is essential (certification required)
- A good standard of education, with strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to understand, communicate, and report clearly in English
