We’re excited to be recruiting for an Engineering Team Leader to join our Engineering department at our Manufacturing site based in Crick. This is a permanent position working a 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights shift pattern.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the engineering team, creating a culture of engagement and high performance.
  • Line management of the shift team including absence, performance and development.
  • Act as the first point of contact for engineering escalations on shift.
  • Ensure all engineering activities are carried out safely, in line with site regulations and policies.
  • Deliver planned, preventative and reactive maintenance to support operational efficiency.
  • Lead daily and weekly planning meetings, ensuring work is prioritised and executed effectively.
  • Manage and delegate work requests, ensuring timely completion and feedback.
  • Drive continuous improvement and problem solving across the shift.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards at all times.
  • Support training and development of team members, acting as a mentor for new colleagues.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar Engineering Team Leader or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience working with CMMS systems.
  • Knowledge of maintenance best practices (e.g. TPM, RCM, FMECA).
  • Understanding of health & safety standards, ideally NEBOSH qualified or working towards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
